Donald Trump Says He Will Nominate Olivia Trusty To Serve On FCC
Trusty is an aide to Roger Wicker
Federal Communications CommissionCourtesy “Olivia will work with our incredible new Chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, to cut regulations at a record pace, protect Free Speech, and ensure every American has access to affordable and fast Internet,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, appointed by President Joe Biden, said that she plans to step down and depart the FCC on Monday, when Trump takes office. Rosenworcel’s departure will leave the FCC with a 2-2 split between Democrats and Republicans until the Senate confirms Trusty.
