Donald Trump Says ‘I’m Supposed to Be Dead’ in First Interview After Assassination Attempt

Donald Trump has given his first interview since he was the target of an assassination attempt at his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday night.

The presidential candidate was rushed off stage at a rally in Butler, Pa. after he was struck in the ear by a bullet, the U.S. Secret Service said on Saturday. Trump praised the Secret Service and said “they took him out with one shot right between the eyes” referring to the shooter, who was identified by authorities as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pa. Photos captured of Trump raising his fist in the air as blood dripped down his cheek began to circulate as events were still unfolding.
