Right-wing media personality Gina Loudon has created a stir in saying that the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo leading the cast of the Wizard of Oz offshoot, is 'offensive' and 'racist' to white viewers. Loudon, 56, a regular at Mar-a-Lago and media advisor to President-elect Donald Trump in 2020, made the remarks on a November 26 appearance on the network Real America's Voice. Loudon said that she saw the film - which has made $372 million worldwide since arriving in theaters November 22, according to Box Office Mojo- and was put off by underlying social messages she felt were embedded in the motion picture, which stars Erivo, 37, as Elphaba and Grande, 31, as Galinda.
