Demi already had a steady acting gig, playing Jackie Templeton on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, for two years before taking the role of Jules in St. Elmo’s Fire. After becoming the teen queen of the 1980s by starring in John Hughes trifecta of Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink, Molly took breaks between working and raising a family over the years.
