Don Johnson remembered working with Elvis the alligator, who was untrained, on 'Miami Vice.' The actor said his heart was 'doing double backflips' during every scene, and that crew had to tape the animal's mouth shut between takes.

In a Feb. 5 interview with Remind Magazine, Johnson, 75, opened up about one of the oddest parts of his hit 1980s TV series Miami Vice. “I had a healthy respect for him, and we went through protocols to make sure that I didn’t become part of Elvis’ DNA,” the Doctor Odyssey star said. Johnson told Remind that the show’s popularity is “perennial.” He said, “I don’t think I’ve seen a Halloween go by without a Crockett and Tubbs duo somewhere.”
