Don Henley Still Wants Those Hotel California Pages Back

A criminal trial went nowhere, but the Eagles singer has now filed a civil lawsuit over the handwritten lyrics and notes he alleges were stolen.

Per the Associated Press and Variety, Eagles singer Don Henley filed a civil lawsuit in New York on Friday over the now- familiar allegation that his handwritten lyrics and notes for songs on Hotel California were stolen from him. In that nonjury trial, defendants and well-known collectors Glenn Horowitz, Craig Inciardi, and Edward Kosinski each pleaded not guilty to conspiring to possess stolen property. Prosecution dropped the case days after Henley’s last-minute decision to waive attorney-client privilege, which meant the defense received 6,000 pages of new documents.
