Dolly Parton Wants to Look 'Artificial': 'I Like the Overdone'

Dolly Parton opened up about her Good American collection and how she prefers to look on a daily basis

“They called this lady ‘trash’ because she wore too much makeup, big hair, red nails, high heels, short skirts and all of that, but when I was little, that impressed me,” Parton, 79, said in an interview with WWD published on Wednesday, April 1, while chatting about her collab with Khloé Kardashian ’s co-founded brand, Good American. The country music icon, 77, recalled receiving physical and verbal punishment from her grandfather for modeling her now-famous look after the local “town tramp” while growing up in Tennessee. When it comes to her Good American collection, Parton is offering bedazzled high-waisted pants and matching vests, bootcut jeans, gingham tops and more.
