Dolly Parton has revealed how she is navigating the grieving process following the death of her beloved husband Carl Thomas Dean aged 82.

In her heartbreaking tribute Monday, Dolly reflected on the 'many wonderful years' the pair spent together as she expressed her deep love for Carl and thanked fans for their prayers. Recalling a pivotal moment early in their marriage, Dolly revealed she once convinced Carl to attend an awards show in 1967 when she won BMI Song of the Year. In 2008, Parton told NPR that her 1973 hit Jolene was partly inspired by a local bank teller who used to flirt with Carl; Dolly pictured performing in 2023
