Dog owners warned they could face £1,000 fines doing one thing in UK holiday hotspots
Dog owners have been warned they could face fines of up to £1,000 this summer in popular UK holiday destinations if they walk their dogs in certain areas
An expert from Kingdom Local Authority Support (LAS) has issued a stern warning to dog owners about the risk of hefty fines if they walk their pets in certain areas. John Roberts, director of service at Kingdom Local Authority Support, which helps councils nationwide deal with littering, fly-tipping and environmental crimes, advises holidaymakers to do their homework and check the rules before taking their dogs out for a walk, according to Bristol Live. Restrictions can be down to a number of reasons, whether that's the result of the actions of a few irresponsible dog owners, to protect local wildlife, preserve the quality of green spaces, or to allow people to enjoy dog-free areas on the beaches if they choose."
