Dodgers Star Shohei Ohtani Appears to Make Lewd Gesture After Stealing Base
Shohei Ohtani stole second base Wednesday night and appeared to celebrate by making a lewd gesture as he removed his batting glove
After stealing second base in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on July 10, Ohtani popped back up, signaled “safe” with his hands, then appeared to make a lewd gesture after removing his batting glove. Jomboy Media posted the clip almost immediately via X as fans started weighing in, with some pointing out he was shaking dirt off his glove while others made jokes laced with sexual innuendo. Just weeks before Major League Baseball’s 2024 season officially kicked off, Ohtani’s interpreter Ippei Mizuhara was fired by the Dodgers for allegedly taking significant sums of money from the player in an effort to settle gambling debts.
