MLB player Freddie Freeman thanked Los Angeles Dodgers fans for showing up for his family during the team’s World Series parade

During his brief speech, the team’s first baseman and MVP also thanked fans for all the support he gave him and his family after their son Max was hospitalized with Guillain-Barré syndrome in July. “I only have one leg but I got a whole group of guys that had my back all year,” he joked before acknowledging his manager Dave Roberts and teammates like Kike Hernandez, Mookie Betts, Will Smith, Tommy Edman, Shohei Ohtani and others.
