Fans are convinced Taylor Swift’s surprise songs during night 5 of her Wembley Stadium shows pointed to her ex Joe Alwyn
In the upbeat Lover track, Swift sings, “You know I love a London boy,” before mentioning her favorite places to visit around the city, like Camden Town, famous for its iconic market, and Highgate, a quaint residential area. Since launching her record-breaking tour in March 2023, Swift has used the penultimate section of her show to perform songs across her entire discography that aren’t included in the concert’s expansive setlist. In the final verse of “Dear John,” Swift assures her ex that she’s doing better than ever, singing, “I took your matches before fire could catch me / So don’t look now / I’m shining like fireworks over your sad empty town.”
