New digital ads went up outside of Madison Square Garden that slam Vance as the “poster boy” for Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation game plan for the next administration. Trump has tried to distance himself from Project 2025, the 922-page proposal that calls for further restrictions on abortions, moving to a national sales or consumption tax, eliminating the Department of Education and reclassifying federal employees as political appointees, among other things. The VP debate will take place at CBS Broadcast Center in Manhattan, with Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan as moderators.
