Disney+ axes blockbuster TV series after just one season despite rave reviews


Fans have said they will be 'mourning' the loss of the show for the 'next six months,' after the streaming service controversially pulled the plug on Tuesday.

Its stellar cast of Derry Girls' Louisa Harland, Alice Kremelberg, and Frank Dillane was led by Ben Taylor, who directed Netflix's smash hit Sex Education, and was written by Happy Valley creator Sally Wainwright. Daily Mail TV critic Christopher Stevens gave the eight-part series an incredible five-star rating, writing that Wainwright 'created an extraordinary English heroine, woven from tales of highwaymen, fairy stories, Gothic novels and a dash of Shakespeare'.
