In less than twelve months following Michael's disappearance, Shaver conducted a sort of mock "marriage ceremony" right in the backyard, alarmingly close to a freshly constructed concrete fire pit. However, when they began inspecting the property's exterior and asked if they could bring in police dogs trained to detect human remains, she abruptly stopped cooperating and demanded they return with a warrant.
