Disney princess fan told she 'couldn't be Cinderella' sets up princess-for-hire service

Disney princess enthusiast Simone Brown, 30, from Maryland, was told as a child that she couldn't be Cinderella due to her skin color. She reveals: "My mum had volunteered to help with makeup for the shows, and she overheard (some) students ... saying something along the lines of wishing something bad happened to me so I wouldn't get to perform." Remembering an incident where a teacher asked her to 'tone it down' during the school play because she was making the other girls feel uncomfortable, Simone wondered if a white Cinderella would face such criticism.
