Disney earmarks veteran director Paul King to revive classic character

The principal storyline of the movie has yet to be released publicly, and it was not immediately clear if the movie would be animated or live action.

The forthcoming feature 'will not specifically be linked to' the character Cinderella, the story in which he was introduced searching for the princess with her glass slipper, insiders told Deadline. Prince Charming has been placed in a number of classic fairy tales - including Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel - often positioned to rescue a female protagonist from harmful forces or people. Other social media users bandied names they believed would work best for the role, ranging from Chris Pine to Henry Cavill to Harry Styles.
