Disney Animated Feature ‘Wish’ Sets Disney+ Premiere Date
Animated feature 'Wish' has set its Disney+ premiere date following a November launch in theaters.
An original musical comedy co-written by Disney Animation chief Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore, Wish takes us to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha (DeBose), a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force — a little ball of boundless energy called Star. With Alan Tudyk playing Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film also features the voices of Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Kumiyama, Harvey Guillén, Evan Peters, Ramy Youssef, and Jon Rudnitsky. While Disney had high hopes for the title, tied to the studio’s centennial, it ultimately disappointed both critically and commercially, even as it nabbed a Golden Globe nom for Best Animated Feature Film.
