On Tuesday (Oct. 8) — one day after Cissy’s death at age 91 — Warwick wrote on X that she is “so deeply saddened” by the passing of her family member. Cissy’s passing was confirmed Monday (Oct. 7) by her daughter-in-law Pat Houston, who shared that her mother-in-law had died that morning in her New Jersey home while in hospice for Alzheimer’s disease. In 2022, Warwick — who is part of this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class for musical excellence — opened up about her relationship with Cissy.
