In May 2024, CNN aired security camera footage appearing to show Diddy assaulting Cassie (full name Casandra Ventura) at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. The rapper celebrated his birthday on Monday, November 4, at the MDC Brooklyn detention center in New York, where he remains held amid his ongoing sexual assault allegations and legal troubles.
