Streaming Dec. 10, the highly anticipated comedy hour, titled “What Had Happened Was…,” sees Foxx telling the truth behind his 2023 medical emergency that left him hospitalized and fighting for his life. In the special, Foxx discusses his deep gratitude to those who prayed for his recovery — and he addresses the online speculation surrounding his health. Earlier in 2024, while being honored by the African American Film Critics Association, Foxx revealed that he would finally tell the world what happened to him, but he planned to “do it in a funny way.”
