She and Danny, whose bond grew stronger each season, later received the Medal of Valor after putting their lives on the line in a drug raid. In the season 12 Blue Bloods finale, Baez adopted a baby girl after the child’s mother, Elena Marquez, was killed by a bomb blast. So far, he’s already dropped some hints that several of his Blue Bloods costars will come aboard for the series expansion, giving us hope that we’ll find out more about what happened between Danny and Baez off screen.
