Did Beyoncé Submit 'Cowboy Carter' for CMA Award Noms

The award criteria is based on release dates, chart activity, and consumption peaks that occurred during the eligibility period (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024). In June, three months after the March 29 release of Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé provided a lengthy statement to The Hollywood Reporter about the project and its reception. In March, shortly before Cowboy Carter ’s release, Beyoncé posted on Instagram that the album was “born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed… and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she said, although she did not specifically cite the CMA Awards appearance.
