Star Tom Selleck admitted he wasn’t sure why CBS pulled the plug on the long running crime drama in which he portrayed Frank Reagan for 14 seasons. The Blue Bloods series finale was quite dramatic, as Mayor Peter Chase was shot by a gang member while unveiling a NYC landmark. “Tom’s been pretty vocal when it comes to his feelings about the network ending Blue Bloods,” an insider told Closer in February 2025.
