Devin Harjes Dies: ‘Boardwalk Empire’, ‘Gotham’, ‘Manifest’ Actor Was 41
Devin Harjes, a TV and film actor who had roles in series including HBO's Boardwalk Empire, 2015's Daredevil series and Fox's Gotham, has died.
Born in Lubbock, Texas, on July 29, 1983, Harjes studied acting in college and eventually moved to New York City, where he appeared in Off Broadway productions and in student films. Harjes, who also practiced martial arts, was best known for playing boxer Jack Dempsey on Boardwalk Empire in a two-episode arc on the Prohibition-era gangster series. His other small-screen credits included Gotham, Orange is the New Black, Daredevil, Elementary, Blue Bloods, FBI and Manifest.
