Dev Patel’s ‘Monkey Man’ Sets June Streaming Date on Peacock
Dev Patel's directorial debut 'Monkey Man' will arrive on Peacock in June.
Produced by Jordan Peele, the movie follows a young man (Patel) who spends his nights at an underground fight club in India, where he makes money being beaten up by more popular fighters. Variety chief film critic Owen Gleiberman had mixed feelings about the movie, writing in his review, “The action scenes are razory and intense, though much of this slow-burn tale of revenge plays like a glum origin story.” He stars alongside Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Adithi Kalkunte and Zakir Hussain, and produces with Peele, Jomon Thomas, Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Christine Haebler and Anjay Nagpal.
