Despite Retiring From Touring, Elton John Isn’t Slowing Down: Recording New Music, Opening Two Stage Musicals and Performing at His Annual Oscar Party
Elton John has been keeping busy following his retirement from touring, including recording new music.
He had one knee replaced earlier this year and will have the second done in the spring after he and Furnish co-host the 32nd annual Academy Awards Viewing Party benefit for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in West Hollywood Park. Presenting sponsors of the party include A+E Networks, Chopard, Gilead Sciences, Health Care Advocates International, Robert and Dana Kraft, Bob and Tamar Manoukian and Cheryl and Haim Saban. It was recently announced that Tony nominee Vanessa Williams will star in “Prada” as Miranda Priestly, the role that Meryl Streep played in the movie adaptation of the bestselling novel.
