Desean Terry And Nikkole Salter To Adapt ‘Lines In The Dust’ Stage Play Into Film; Subject Tackles New Jersey School Residency Fraud
Desean Terry (The Morning Show) and Nikkole Salter (playwright, In The Continuum) are partnering to adapt and executive produce Salter’s acclaimed play Lines in the Dust
Loosely inspired by real-life cases, Lines in the Dust shines a light on the issue of school residency fraud against the backdrop of Newark, New Jersey. Salter, Los Angeles-born, OBIE Award-winning actress and dramatist arrived onto the professional scene with her co-authorship and co-performance with Danai Gurira ( Black Panther) of the Pulitzer Prize nominated play, In The Continuum. Terry recently directed The West Coast premiere of Lines in the Dust which garnered rave reviews and featured Emmy nominee Kelly Jenrette, Erica Tazel and Tony Pasqualini in starring roles.
