Also behind the stand-up doc Workin’ It Out, which debuted exclusively on Netflix is a Joke’s Youtube channel, he brought his first special, Cole Blooded Seminar, to Comedy Central in 2016. Also an actor, writer, and producer, recently seen in Warner Bros & Amblin’s The Color Purple musical from director Blitz Bazawule, Cole leads the cast of the BET+ series Average Joe, which premiered last summer. Best known on the TV side for acclaimed turns on ABC’s Black-ish and Freeform spin-off Grown-ish, he’s also recently been seen in Jeymes Samuel’s Netflix Western The Harder They Fall and Kenya Barris’s star-studded Netfix rom-com You People.
