Denzel Washington and Daisy Edgar-Jones are set to lead heist film "Here Comes the Flood" at Netflix, directed by Fernando Meirelles.
According to Netflix’s official logline, “Here Comes the Flood” is an “unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief in a deadly game of cons and double crosses.” The film is loosely based on Akira Kurosawa’s “High and Low,” which follows a businessman deciding whether or not to use his wealth to further his career or save a child’s life. Edgar-Jones, known for her roles in “Twisters,” “Where the Crawdads Sing” and “Normal People,” most recently appeared in Daniel Minahan’s “On Swift Horses” opposite Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, Diego Calva and Sasha Calle.
