The documentary delves into what it means to be "number one on the call sheet" — a Hollywood mark of status for the lead actor or actress on a project. " Number One on the Call Sheet celebrates the grit, strength and brilliance of those who came before us, while uplifting the next generation," Angela Bassett, who served as an executive producer and appears in the documentary, said in a statement shared with PEOPLE.
