Dennis Quaid Recalls Cowboy Era With Kevin Costner, More Career Highs

Dennis Quaid exclusively takes Us Weekly back through his career highs, including a fond Kevin Costner memory

The actor reveals that he “lost 44 pounds for that [role]” and went full-method to portray tuberculosis-stricken gunman and gambler Doc Holliday alongside Costner’s Wyatt Earp. While it was an honor to shake the queen’s hand, Quaid says the thing that he notices about the regal photo is Richardson, who played his ex-wife, Elizabeth James, in the Disney movie. More than three decades after Hayley Mills wooed fans in 1961’s The Parent Trap, Disney rebooted the classic and produced an equally as big box office hit.
