Demi Lovato has come under fire for wasting $19 on the viral Erewhon strawberry from Kyoto, Japan. Fans slammed the singer for engaging in a 'sick' level of capitalism.

Another joked about the expensive, LA-based grocer, 'Erewhon was 100% started by a group of uni students who wanted to run a social experiment on consumerism but ended up accidentally creating a successful grocery so now they just watch.' Also mentioning the food retailer — known for smoothie collaborations with A-listers like Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Bieber — someone else added, 'Just hearing "Erewhon" pisses me off.'
