Demi Lovato Pokes Fun at Viral ‘Poot’ Meme 10 Years Later: ‘I’m Never Letting Her Out’
Demi Lovato poked fun at the viral "Poot" meme from 2015, writing on TikTok, "I'm never letting her out."
In a TikTok video posted Monday (April 21), the singer-songwriter poked fun at the mega-viral meme from 2015 by lip-synching to an audio snippet with the prompt, “When someone asks me to let Poot out of the basement…” The video marks one of several times Lovato has acknowledged Poot over the years, with the character first emerging from an unflattering edited photo of the star walking the 2014 Royal Variety Performance red carpet. Lovato only fueled the flames when she tweeted at the time, “Cool to see a s–tty angle turn into a meme that circulates the Internet to people’s amusement,” but the vocalist has since embraced the humor of Poot.
