Demi Lovato Clarifies Why She Performed ‘Heart Attack’ at a Heart Disease Event

Demi Lovato's team clarified why the singer decided to perform "Heart Attack" at an American Health Association event.

“It was a sensitive moment intended to champion the women in the room — the very reason why Demi was at the event,” a representative for Lovato told the outlet. The performance for the AHA comes several months after she released her album Revampled, featuring rock versions of her songs, including “Heart Attack” and “Cool for the Summer.” “I changed the melody a little bit in certain spots and then try to hit higher notes than the originals,” Lovato told Rolling Stone.
