Deborah Norville is leaving Inside Edition after 30 years as anchor: 'Time for me to move on'
Deborah Norville has announced that she's leaving 'Inside Edition' after 30 years as lead anchor: 'There are things I'd like to do and places I want to do them that continuing here don't permit.'
The veteran journalist announced on air Wednesday that she will be departing the syndicated newsmagazine program after 30 years as anchor. The program was first anchored by David Frost, though he only held the lead position for a few weeks before being replaced by Bill O'Reilly, who led the show until his departure in 1995. "Deborah's powerful presence, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, has contributed immensely to the success of Inside Edition for the past 30 years," he said.
