Death in Paradise's Don Gilet reveals ‘terrifying’ aspects of becoming show’s new lead detective
EastEnders actor Don Gilet is taking over from Ralf Little as the lead detective on the BBC drama Death in Paradise, in a role that he confesses felt 'terrifying'
The new leading man of Death in Paradise,Don Gilet, has described his experience of stepping into the role as "exciting and terrifying in equal measure", likening it to a rollercoaster ride at a theme park. Don Gilet is the new lead actor in Death In ParadiseThe festive special will also see DI Wilson face a unique challenge as he investigates several individuals shot while dressed as Father Christmas, and uncovers the true reasons behind his presence on Saint Marie after being accused of murder by local Brianna Clemetson (played by Joy Richardson). The actor, renowned for his portrayal of the sinister Lucas Johnson in EastEnders, and his roles in Sherwood, The Beekeeper, Shetland, Holby City, and 55 Degrees North, previously appeared in Death In Paradise's fourth series playing a different character.
