Death in Paradise star 'went mad' and 'ripped' off shirt filming BBC series

Death in Paradise actor Ben Miller, who played the show's original detective, has revealed that he 'ripped off his clothes' and 'started screaming' due to the heat while filming

Sharing that it wasn't much like paradise for him, the actor explained: "I’m very bad with heat, between takes, I had to go and sit in a car, close the windows and put the air conditioning on full blast for ten minutes before I could go back. Ben confessed: "We were filming on the beach and I overheated, went mad, started screaming, ripped off all my clothes and ran into the sea" (Image: BBC/Red Planet)"That threw everything because it meant she couldn't come and visit me for the six months I was out here. It's no surprise that Ben felt the heat, as his character was often seen in heavy suits (Image: BBC/Red Planet Pictures/Denis Guyenon)The drama, which now stars Ralf Little as Detective Neville Parker, is back with a thirteenth series, and will kick off with the show's 100th episode, which will no doubt be one to remember.
