Death Cab for Cutie Share Plans for ‘Plans’ 20th Anniversary
Death Cab for Cutie have announced a short run of August shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album, 'Plans.'
The short trek will kick off Aug. 2 with a hometown show at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, followed by an Aug. 5 gig at the Chicago Theatre. The album marked the group’s major label debut and featured a handful of successful singles, including “Soul Meets Body,” “Crooked Teeth,” and “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.” Speaking with Rolling Stone ahead of the album’s original release, Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard said the title Plans came from his favorite joke: “How do you make God laugh?
