It’s the most wonderful time of the year: awards season. We’ve had the Golden Globes. We’ve had the Critics’ Choice Awards. And now it’s obviously time for the Osca…
Here’s hoping other Deadliners, like TV supremos Nellie Andreeva and Peter White, will be on hand too, to bring a little more common-sense insight to the evening. Host Anthony Anderson charges into the evening with the memory of Jo Koy’s disappointing Globes stint fresh in mind — things can only get better under the guidance of an 11-time Emmy nominee — and we can focus on the year’s television highlights. It came into the awards with 21 nominations, but it’ll face strong competition from newcomers including The Bear, Wednesday and Jury Duty, as well as returning hits like Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and Only Murders in the Building(the latter for its second season, not its third).
