Deadline Launches Contenders Television: The Nominees Streaming Site
Deadline has taken the wraps off the streaming site for Contenders Television: The Nominees, the Emmy-season panel event that took place August 10.
Stars and creatives behind 10 of the buzziest Emmy-nommed titles joined Deadline’s TV team to discuss their shows, comprising a diverse list of genres from comedy to drama, late-night to docuseries, and stand-up specials and competition series to rom-coms. Shows represented in Saturday’s nominee showcase: Comedy Central’s The Daily Show; HBO | Max’s Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die; Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building; Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV; MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race; Prime Video’s Fallout, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Red, White & Royal Blue; NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers; and Peacock’s The Traitors. The list of panelists who participated in the virtual discussions included topliners Seth Meyers, Nikki Glaser, Alan Cumming and Taylor Zakhar Perez, along with the likes of Jonathan Nolan, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Francesca Sloane, Sarah Shechter and Michelle Visage.
