DC/DOX To Showcase A Dozen World Premieres, Oscar Contenders, Films On Barbara Walters, Robert Reich, Deepfaked Sam Altman


DC/DOX has announced the full slate for the third edition of the documentary festival in the nation's capital.

Thirty years after the end of the Cold War, a former political prisoner of the East German secret police searches for the truth after learning his brother spied on him for the regime, and discovers the lasting effects of living in a surveillance state. Offering a deeply personal perspective on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, VIKTOR is a poignant audiovisual journey of a young man living in Kharkiv, who sets out to find his place in a war he cannot hear and is denied the chance to fight. The untold story about how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an all-star team of civil rights activists took to basketball courts to connect with young voters, and how their strategy echoed in contemporary politics through President Obama’s historic campaign.
