The “Armchair Expert” podcast host made headlines in September 2023 when he got into a heated discussion with Jonathan Van Ness about gender-affirming care for transgender youth. Shepard noted that he told Bell, 43, whom he married in October 2013, about the relapse, sought help and attended meetings after taking “30 mil Oxys” every day.
