Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek issues update after revealing cancer diagnosis
Actor James Van Der Beek has said he and his family deeply appreciate the love and support they have received after he revealed his cancer diagnosis this month
He added: "There's no playbook for how (to) announce these things, but I'd planned on talking about it at length with People magazine at some point soon... to raise awareness and tell my story on my own terms." The NHS lists the main symptoms as rectal bleeding, weight loss, abdominal pain, a stomach or back passage lump, and fatigue. He told People he's been spending quality time with his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, and their six children, Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn and Jeremiah.
