David Schwimmer Urges Hollywood’s Jewish Leaders to ‘Stand Up’ Against Antisemitism
David Schwimmer spoke up against antisemitism at the Anti-Defamation League's annual Never Is Now conference.
Appearing as part of the Anti-Defamation League ’s annual Never Is Now conference in New York City, the Friends actor noted that although “speaking out often comes at a cost” it doesn’t serve the community to be silent. Plenty of people I respect, even some of my heroes in entertainment, music and sports, have chosen to keep a low profile and sit this one out, including some whose careers have been made by leaning into their Jewish identity, and others who have won acclaim for playing Jews onscreen. Last month, Schwimmer blasted Elon Musk on Saturday for allowing West to use X to make “hate filled” antisemitic (along with more racist and misogynistic) statements.
