David Schwimmer Couldn’t Listen to the ‘Friends’ Theme Song for ‘Quite a While’ After Show Ended


David Schwimmer revealed he couldn't listen to 'Friends' theme song on "Making the Scene" podcast with Matt Lucas and David Walliams podcast

While the rest of the world was still singing along to Friends ‘ iconic theme song (“I’ll Be There for You” by The Rembrandts) after the popular comedy wrapped in 2004 after 10 years, Schwimmer admitted he had to put the track on mute for a while. During an appearance on the Matt Lucas and David Walliams podcast, “Making the Scene,” Schwimmer said he found the tune to be a bit triggering. ”I’ll be really honest, there was a time for quite a while that just hearing the theme song would really… ” he explained before trailing off and letting out a big sigh to sum up his reaction to the track.
