David McLeod Dies: Longtime Disney Syndication Executive Was 62
David McLeod, a syndication and content sales executive whose career at Disney spanned 35 years, died May 4 following an undiagnosed illness.
Having grown up in Madison, Wisconsin, McLeod graduated UM-Madison, with a degree in communications specializing in radio, TV and film. Two months after graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles where he briefly worked at Lorimar Productions before landing a research assistant position with The Walt Disney Company. Over his 35 years with Disney, McLeod relocated three more times – to Atlanta, Dallas and finally Chicago, where he was Senior Vice President, Broadcast Syndication – Midwest Region, prior to his retirement in 2021.
