David Lynch to Be Celebrated by World Soundtrack Awards
David Lynch is being celebrated by the World Soundtrack Awards that will feature his ‘The Elephant Man’ for its Film Music Composition Contest.
“The Elephant Man,” Lynch’s 1980 cult movie, told the true story of English artist Joseph Merrick who, due to his severe physical deformities, became a national celebrity in Victorian England. A professional jury, chaired by WSA President of the Board Dirk Brossé, will select the composition contest’s three finalists who will be announced in June. All three selected original scores will be performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and conducted by Dirk Brossé during the ceremony.
