David Lynch revealed he has been diagnosed with emphysema and can no longer direct in person or leave the house.

David Lynch revealed in a new interview that he was diagnosed with emphysema and can no longer “leave the house” due to fears of getting COVID. Elsewhere in the Sight and Sound interview, Lynch, whose last feature film was 2006’s “Inland Empire,” said he is still “hopeful” that his 2010 screenplay “Antelope Don’t Run No More” will make it to the big screen. He also discussed “Snootworld,” the animated film he began working on two decades ago with Caroline Thompson (“The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Edward Scissorhands”).
