Kath Phipps, who worked for Manchester United for over 55 years in a variety of roles, passed away at the age of 85, leading to a number of former players paying tribute
Kath started at United as a switchboard operator in September 1968 and served the club for over 55 years, much of it as the training ground receptionist, offering a sunny greeting to all who entered. Beckham, warmly welcomed by Kath daily during his time at the club, made sure to send a touching farewell note: "Forever in our hearts...
